Hourly Paid Associate
Bath & Wells Multi Academy Trust is seeking an experienced governance professional to provide interim leadership to Local Committees (TLCs) across our schools when additional capacity, expertise or support is required.
We are looking to appoint an Hourly Paid Associate to support our work on an occasional basis. This is a casual engagement with hours offered according to business needs. There are no guaranteed hours, and work may vary throughout the year.
About the Role
As Interim TLC Chair, you will:
- Chair Local Committee meetings and provide effective governance leadership.
- Support and challenge school leaders to drive school improvement.
- Build strong relationships with headteachers, committee members and Trust leaders.
- Lead complaints, suspension and exclusion panels when required.
- Help develop governance capacity and succession plans within schools.
- Promote the Trust's vision, values and strategic priorities.
About You
You will have:
- Experience in school governance, academy governance or a similar governance environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills and sound judgement.
- The ability to provide both support and constructive challenge.
- A commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for children and young people.
