Engagement Coach

35 hours per week, term time plus 6 days. 8.30am till 4pm Monday to Friday with half an hour for lunch 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to work with learners, parents and staff, as part of a professional team to sustain positive engagement in Post 16 provision and subsequently reduce NEET across Blackpool.

This role is varied, and we are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual able to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

To prepare, support and mentor learners from St George’s Academy, in their journey into and through Post 16 learning.

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A recognised and relevant qualification at level 3
  • GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above
  • A proven ability to work on their own initiative
  • A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults
  • The ability to use relevant technology/equipment
  • A can-do attitude
  • A commitment to the happiness well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school
