Start Date: 01/09/2026

Salary: Grade 9, £29,540 – £32,061 FTE per annum (Actual Salary based on weeks worked and hours: £22,318.17 - £24,222.84 p.a.)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 32.5 per week (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break), term time only including INSET days (39 weeks)

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our fantastic Early Years setting, working across two Reception classes in a school that is oversubscribed and at the heart of its community. At King’s Forest, our children are wonderful and make us proud every day.

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, play-based learning experiences. You will support the planning, preparation and delivery of engaging provision, working with children through both adult-led and child-initiated activities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification
  • Experience of working within an EYFS or primary setting
  • Experience supporting learning to achieve positive outcomes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • A caring, patient and empathetic approach
  • A genuine passion for Early Years education

 Fluency Duty 

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
