🍎📚 Join our Team at Blackhorse Primary School as a Specialist Teaching Assistant! 📚🍎

Start Date: as soon as possible

Salary: Grade 9 £27,334 - £29,777 (Actual Salary based on weeks worked and hours: £20,651.48 - £22,497.23 p.a.)

Contract: Fixed term until August 2025

Hours: 32.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.00pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunchbreak), term time only to include INSET days (39 weeks)

The Role:

We're seeking a versatile Specialist Teaching Assistant to support pupils within our Resource Base and promote inclusion across the school. This is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2025 pending a staffing review, subject to a review of the school's budget and needs of the resource base.

Fluency Duty:

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

The School and Trust:

Blackhorse Primary School are extremely proud to have South Gloucestershire’s only Primary Resource Base for autistic children and children with social communication difficulties. Our Resource Base comprises of 2 small classes led by qualified teachers with a high adult pupil ratio with our RB children fully including within mainstream classes, some including part-time whilst others remain in the Resource Base; with a view to including for at least some of the time by their first annual review.
