Responsible to: Wraparound Manager

Stanley Primary School is a mainstream school which sits in the heart of the local Teddington community. We are looking for a Breakfast Club Playleader to assist the Wraparound Manager to run the Breakfast Club. They will create a warm, safe and welcoming start to the school day. As the Breakfast Club Playleader you will greet the children, prepare breakfast, set the tone for a positive morning routine, and manage the Breakfast Club playworkers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Greeting children upon arrival;

• Preparing a healthy breakfast, ensuring that children’s medical, allergy and dietary requirements are met;

• Providing a varied, safe and stimulating play environment both indoors and outdoors;

• Plan activities for the children taking in to account their interests and age groups;

• Line manage the Breakfast Club playworkers.

The right candidate will have a commitment to the happiness, wellbeing and progress of all the children in the Breakfast Club; a ‘can-do’ attitude; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and previous experience of working with primary school aged children and line managing staff.

We are also recruiting for an After School Club Playleader. We would consider appointing the same person to both posts. Each role would need to be applied for separately.

We are committed to safeguarding all the children in our care; candidates should be aware that we closely follow the safer recruitment guidelines.
