We are seeking an ambitious, inspirational and knowledgeable Head of Geography to lead our successful Humanities Faculty and build on the strengths of Geography at St Bede’s Catholic College.
This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for Geography and the ability to inspire both students and colleagues. The successful candidate will provide clear strategic direction for the subject, lead the continued development of an ambitious and engaging curriculum, and ensure that all students are supported and challenged to achieve their very best.
You will promote a culture of high expectations, collaboration and professional development, enabling students to develop secure geographical knowledge, critical thinking and an informed understanding of the world around them. You will also champion fieldwork, geographical enquiry and opportunities to connect classroom learning with real-world issues.
We are looking for a leader who combines excellent subject knowledge, including the ability to teach Geography at A Level, with the vision, organisation and interpersonal skills to lead continued improvement.
Above all, you will share our commitment to the St Bede’s Way: Work Hard. Be Kind. Do The Right Thing. You will help every student to flourish academically, socially, morally and spiritually within our inclusive Catholic community.
St Bede’s has a diverse community of students and we would be pleased to receive interest from applicants of all backgrounds.
