We are a high performing sixth form college with an ambitious vision for Design & Technology and Engineering, and we are looking for a passionate Teacher of OCR A Level Design & Technology (Design Engineering) to join our forward thinking team.
This post is available on a full‑time, part‑time (0.5 FTE or above), or job‑share basis, and we are genuinely open to shaping the role around the strengths, experience, and availability of the successful candidate(s). - Training and mentoring are available for staff developing their engineering specialism, teachers transitioning from secondary school to A Level teaching, and Early Career Teachers.

The department and its direction
- Strong and growing provision in Engineering
- Typically two Year 12 and two Year 13 Design Engineering classes within the department
- Expansion of the department with the addition of Engineering AAQ in September
- Enrichment activities such as Inspiring Engineers built into timetabled time, not added workload

The role
As a Teacher of Design & Technology (Design Engineering), you will:
- Deliver engaging, high‑quality A Level lessons that bring design engineering to life
- Inspire students to develop creativity, confidence, and problem‑solving skills
- Contribute to a rich, applied curriculum that connects learning to real‑world contexts
- Work collaboratively within a supportive, high‑performing team
- Support the development of employability skills such as problem‑solving, oracy, teamwork and project management
