We are looking to appoint a motivated, organised and innovative Teacher of Welsh for September 2024. The successful candidate will work very closely with the Area of Learning Lead for Languages, Literacy and Communication and the Head of Welsh to support the delivery of Welsh within the AOLE. The successful candidate must be able to teach Welsh to at least GCSE level. The successful candidate will need to be proactive in monitoring the progress of pupils in their classes and will need to ensure that pupils make appropriate academic progress across their teaching groups, and consistently across the Area of Learning.

Crucially, the candidate should be able to transmit an enthusiasm for language learning to students, should instil confidence and should be willing and able to play a full part in working with others in order to develop the Welsh dimension and the Curriculum Cymreig across the school, amongst many other things.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and EWC registration.

The role is for a full time teacher of Welsh, however we would be supportive of any part time or flexible working requests. The salary will be negotiable on experience.

Closing date for applications: 9am Thursday 16th May 2024. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by phone. Please ensure you provide a contact phone number on the application form.

Interviews will be held: Week commencing 20th May 2024.
