St Dominic Catholic Primary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner who holds either an Early Years Practitioner Level 6 (EYPS) qualification or an Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) to join our excellent team. This is a permanent position for 22 hours per week, 8.30am – 12.30pm, Monday to Friday, with an additional 2 hours PPA time allocated one afternoon per week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, monitoring and assessing, and will play a crucial role in providing high quality early education to 3 and 4-yearold children. This includes developing a curriculum that the children will respond to positively, ensuring that the provision for all children is of the highest possible standard and inspiring them to learn through play-based learning. We have a large, well-resourced nursery classroom with an amazing outdoor area.
Candidates must have:
• An excellent understanding of the Early Years curriculum to ensure children develop strong foundations to prepare them for their next stage in their education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A willingness to support the aims and values of our Catholic School ( but do not need to be of the Catholic faith)
• Experience and knowledge of SEND
• A willingness to build positive relationships with both parents and staff
You will be joining a highly qualified and supportive team. Our school was rated "outstanding" at our most recent Ofsted visit in November 2023. We have supportive parents, delightful children and are very proud of our Nursery. We would welcome visits from prospective applicants.
Safeguarding Statement:
All Saints Catholic Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults, and expects all staff and volunteers to understand and share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, at least two satisfactory references must be provided, and any other safeguarding checks that are required at the time of appointment will be applied to the pre-employment process.
All offers of employment are conditional and subject to safeguarding checks being met successfully. The Trust reserves the right to withdraw an offer of employment should it deem pre-employment checks as unsatisfactory.
Following the shortlisting stage, and prior to making a final decision, the Trust/School will collect and process information publicly available about you by conducting a brief online search using an internet search engine. We do this to ensure that the school acts in accordance with its obligations set out in the latest version of "Keeping Children Safe in Education" (KCSiE)
By submitting the application form I understand that I am giving my consent for the Trust/School to carry out an online search if I am shortlisted for this post. The search would be part of the Trust/School's due diligence in line with the latest KCSiE guidance and would be limited to identifying any incidents or issues that have happened and are publicly available online. I understand that the Trust/School might want to explore any such incidents or issues with me at interview.
