• Do you want to work in partnership with the newly appointed Head?

Thank you for your interest in the post of Deputy Head at St Edmund’s Junior School. Whilst the Junior School educates children from Years 3 to 8, it is part of the wider St Edmund’s School family, educating children from 3 years old to 18. This role is a tremendous opportunity for a dedicated and ambitious individual to develop as a senior leader, and is suited to a leader who has experience of making an impact and raising standards across their school, whether in the state or independent sector. You will be working in partnership with the newly appointed Head who has a clear vision for the school and is looking for the right person to join the team.

Are you the person we are looking for?

• Are you an excellent classroom practitioner who enjoys leading, supporting, challenging and inspiring others, with an enthusiasm for ensuring that every child achieves their full potential?

• Are you committed, through your love of teaching, to provide a curriculum that is skillfully balanced with academic rigour, creativity and challenge in order to meet the needs of all children?

• Do you have excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to strengthen parent and community partnerships and to motivate and influence staff?

• Are you or do you aspire to be an innovative and inspirational leader, strategic thinker and creative problem solver?

What will we offer?

• A reduced teaching timetable

• Well behaved, hardworking and enthusiastic children

• Supportive colleagues

• Good professional development tailored to fit your needs

• Partnership with the Head teacher

If you are ready to take the next step in your career, then come and see us in action and find out more about what this role can offer.

Visits to the school/TEAMS meetings prior to application are strongly encouraged and will be warmly welcomed, provided that all visitors follow our COVID-19 protocols. The Head, Mr De Silva, would be delighted to meet you and talk about the school and the role.
