Welcome to St John's
Welcome to St John Baptist Church in Wales High School (often referred to as St John's). We are an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school, serving the Christian and non-Christian communities within the local authority.
Our aim is to provide all our pupils with an exceptional education, with a caring and supportive Christian environment. We seek to achieve this by ensuring St John’s pupils
- Achieves their potential academically;
- Develop the skills to enable them to progress to the next stage in their lives; and
- Demonstrate the values and attributes to become good citizens.
We are committed to providing the highest quality learning experiences, a strong pastoral system and an extensive range of sporting, cultural, physical and extra-curricular activities. We strive to instil within our pupils the values of faith and belief; care and compassion; respect and tolerance; responsibility and trust; and aspiration and success. We firmly believe, these values enable pupils of all abilities and backgrounds to flourish.
We are looking for hard-working and committed staff who will help St John's become a truly great school and enable pupils to become the person they have been "called to be".

Our core purpose as a Christian community is to help prepare the way for our pupils so they may know themselves fully and contribute positively to our ever-changing world. We seek to enrich pupils’ lives through our gospel values of faith, hope and love.
