*There may occasionally be opportunities to work additional hours during non-term time weeks. These hours are not guaranteed, are non-contractual, and will be offered as needed. Any non-term time work undertaken will be paid at the standard hourly rate.

Work Pattern: Thursday & Friday, 8 am - 6.15 pm, including a one-hour unpaid lunch break (18.5 hours p/wk

Salary: £13 per hour

(FTE: £27,885 / PTE: £10,389.60, based on 36 term-time weeks + 7.2 weeks' annual leave = 43.2 weeks)

The Role

St John's College is a leading independent school for girls and boys aged 3 to 18. With approx 523 pupils on its roll, St John’s is the Choir School to Cardiff Metropolitan Cathedral and seeks to appoint an experienced Receptionist & Administrator from September 2023.

The successful candidate will need to be reliable, organised and enthusiastic with excellent communication skills. We are looking for someone who ideally has previous experience in the role, and is familiar with school systems. You will need to be able to work flexibly and with good humour, with the ability to prioritise effectively to meet the needs of pupils, parents/carers, staff, and Trustees.
