Actual pro-rata salary is £5,904.55 to £6,012.11

Location: Keynsham (near Bristol/Bath)

Contract: Part time (12 hours per week)   8.30am-11.30pm (4 days per week)

Term time only + 2 INSET days

Term: Fixed term until 31st July 2029 *


We are looking for a part time Teaching Assistant linked to a pupil with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a small, supportive school with access to good training opportunities. Experience of working in a school is desirable. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact the school for more details.

The role is to support a child currently in Reception pupil with an EHC Plan in the classroom and at playtimes. We would want to appoint a flexible and dedicated professional with the willingness to learn new skills. Please see the Job Description/s Person Specification/s attached. You will be working alongside the class teacher to provide a high standard of support and will need to be able to plan, deliver and monitor work to meet the needs of their Education, Health and Care Plan, as well as adapting materials to support the pupil’s learning and development.

  • Empathy and understanding of children's individual learning abilities
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of working with children who have communication and interaction difficulties
  • Patience and a good sense of humour
  • Flexibility
  • Willing to go the extra mile for the children in their care
