Piano Teacher – Visiting Music Teacher (VMT)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified visiting piano teacher who is an excellent practitioner in their field to join our flourishing Performing Arts Department. The piano is highly popular at St Johns; we have a number of pupils taking piano lessons, and taking formal graded examinations.

The successful candidate should have experience of preparing students for ABRSM and Trinity. Pupils are extremely enthusiastic about their music lessons and enjoy a wide range of repertoire; pupils are encouraged to play the piano in several ensembles, accompany their peers and present themselves regularly for formal and informal concerts and competitions.

Initially, we anticipate up to 10 pupils could require lessons across 30 weeks of the academic year. We envisage that this number will increase.

Closing Date: 9.00am, Wednesday 8 May 2024

Interviews will be held week commencing13 May 2024

Interviews may occur at any stage after applications are received. We reserve the right to appoint at any time in the recruitment process and therefore invite interested candidates to apply as soon as possible.
