St John's School are seeking an experienced, compassionate, proactive and clinically skilled School Nurse to join our dedicated Health Centre team. This is a rewarding and varied role within a leading independent school, where you will play a key part in supporting the health, safety, and wellbeing of our pupils.
Working alongside our existing team of School Nurses, you will be responsible for delivering high quality clinical care in a busy and dynamic environment, ensuring students receive both physical and emotional support throughout the school day.
The Role
Delivering high-quality clinical care to pupils
Responding to medical incidents and emergencies
Managing both acute and chronic health conditions
Supporting students’ emotional wellbeing
Maintaining accurate and confidential health records
Contributing to safeguarding and wider wellbeing initiatives
Able to work independently and also collaboratively as part of a caring and professional health team.
About You
A qualified Nurse with current NMC registration
Experienced and confident in clinical decision-making
Relevant experience, which can be applied to the role.
Knowledgeable in safeguarding and young people’s health needs
Friendly, approachable, and able to build rapport with students
Excellent communication skills with staff, parents, and external professionals
Adaptable and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
Able to apply critical thinking to practice
Committed to providing up-to-date and evidence based practice
