St Joseph’s Teacher Pay scales

This post will qualify for the SEN allowance in addition to the College pay scale, and SENCO training can be provided if necessary.

We are seeking to appoint a knowledgeable SEN Teacher; the successful candidate would be expected to supply their expertise to the College. The SEN teacher would be expected to teach the whole curriculum to a small class of 12 students in their own classroom, with the exception of PE when they will join their mainstream peer group. Support from specialist teaching assistants will be in place according to the varying needs of the students.

The Successful Candidate will have:

• An enthusiasm to champion SEN and a commitment to integrating it across the curriculum

• A high expectation for teaching and learning for learners of all abilities

• Forward thinking, creative, receptive to change and able to work with the team.

• A detailed knowledge of the teaching and learning for identified students with Special Education Needs.

 • The ability to work towards deadlines.

Experience of teaching and learning in a primary setting.
