Governors at St Julian’s School are looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Head of Performing Arts to lead our vibrant department and drive the school’s excellence in drama, music, and media education.

We are seeking a qualified, innovative and creative leader with excellent subject knowledge in either drama and/or music, who can work effectively in our school to provide quality learning experiences and raise standards of attainment.

Our Performing Arts department offers a comprehensive curriculum encompassing the three subjects of drama, music and media at KS3 through to popular examination courses in KS4 and KS5. We provide our talented and committed students with opportunities to explore their passions and develop their skills. In addition to our academic courses, we boast a strong extracurricular programme, including shows, concerts, and performances that showcase the outstanding talents of our students.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our school with high expectations and determined focus on ensuring the best education for our students.

For further information please contact Nia Dale (Personal Assistant to the Headteacher).

The application form and further information on the post are available from Newport City Council website.
