Governors at St Julian’s School are looking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Teacher of Girls PE to join our vibrant physical education department

We are seeking a qualified, innovative and creative teacher who can work effectively in our school to provide quality learning experiences and raise standards of attainment in the PE department.

The successful applicant will be a specialist in girls’ physical education. They will have high expectations of learners to ensure they achieve their full educational potential.

Our education physical department offers a comprehensive curriculum across all three key stages.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our school which has high expectations and a determined focus on ensuring the best education for our students.

There is a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010 to recruit a female PE teacher as this is essential for the role and responsibilities associated. For example, ensuring suitable teacher to pupil ratios to supervise female changing rooms, or ensuring there is privacy during activities involving female students.

For further information please contact Nia Dale (Personal Assistant to the Headteacher).

The application form and further information on the post are available from Newport City Council website.
