Site Manager
We are looking to appoint a Site Manager at our St George’s Academy in Blackpool, this vacancy has arisen due to the retirement of our current postholder. The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting the management of the estate and ensuring compliance within this popular and over subscribed academy.
Working closely with the Trust Business Leader and School Administration Manager, and interfacing with other colleagues within the Trust, the post holder will be an integral part of the Estates and Compliance team. The Site Manager will contribute to the overall estates strategic aims, including being the supporting central point for Health & Safety (including estates related safeguarding matters), Compliance, Grounds, Asbestos Management, Contractors and procurement of other managed contracts within the Academy.
This is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week, all year round. The post holder will need to be flexible with their daily hours of work. You will need to be able to demonstrate a strong facilities management background and demonstrate a sound understanding of estates and health and safety related compliance. Stakeholder engagement is an essential part of this role, you will need to have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and be willing to invest in the development of our premises team; challenging and supporting them to provide the best possible learning environment for every child in the Trust.
The successful post holder will be expected to establish and review systems and working practices to ensure compliance with all relevant statutory regulations, recognised standards , and Trust led processes and policies.t. They will be expected to manage third party contractors, ensuring they remain compliant and deliver to expected performance standards. They will support major projects, provide extensive administrative support and be able to manage a varied and demanding workload.
The starting salary is £27,852 rising to £31,099 per annum,(pending pay award April 2023) and other benefits include 22 days annual leave (plus 8 statutory bank holidays), enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme, access to Staff Wellbeing support, Cycle to Work, Employee Assistance Programme and other benefits through Perkbox.
