Role: Learning Support Assistant for SEND Support

Contract: Fixed Term, term time only to include INSET days (39 weeks per year)

Salary: Grade JG3 (Scp. 5-6), £21,575 - £21,968 per annum FTE

(pro-rata: £2549.69 to £2596.14 per annum based on 5 hours per week, £6374.23 to £6490.34 based on 12.5 hours per week and £15553.13 to £15836.44 per annum based on 30.5 hours per week)

Hours: Various - 5/12.5/30.5 hours per week.

We would consider combining some of the roles with one person covering several roles and/or would consider a job share arrangement.

St. Mary's CE Primary School is a small and friendly village primary school in Portbury. The School is part of a large family of schools operated under the leadership of the Lighthouse Schools Partnership. The Trust currently comprises 27 Schools in North Somerset and Bath & North-East Somerset.

The Role

St Mary’s have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant, to support children with specific SEND needs. Both St Mary’s CE Primary School and Wraxall CE Primary School are seeking Learning Support Assistants for SEND needs.

The post for 5/30.5 hours is fixed term until August 2023 (subject to a review of the Schools budget and pupil’s school placement.)

The post for 12.5 hours is fixed term until August 2024 (subject to a review of the Schools budget and pupil’s school placement.)

Post-holders will be required to work 5/12.5/30.5 hours per week, term time only to include INSET days.
