Teaching Assistant 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated teaching assistant. The successful candidate will have experience supporting children within the classroom. This role would suit someone who is interested in a long term teaching career, looking to gain school experience. 

Vacancy hours - We are ideally looking for Monday - Friday 8.45-3.30pm. We may consider Part-time working for the right candidate. Playground supervision is required. Term-time only 39 weeks per year, including inset days.

Salary - £23,575 FTE actual £17,606

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Following the direction of the class teacher and SENCO delivering learning support either one to one, small group or in the wider classroom setting.
  • Support children to access the curriculum so they make progress with their learning.
  • The successful candidate will be confident in understanding the different challenges children with additional needs face and have an understanding of strategies which will help them to thrive.
  • They will be empathetic and nurturing.

Essential Qualifications/Experience:

  • An excellent level of written and spoken English and Maths is required for this role.
