The children, staff, governors and parents wish to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic deputy head teacher, with the skills and vision to join the school's leadership team.
St Peter and St Paul Church Primary School is a growing one-form entry school in the village of Chaldon. Our vision is to inspire our pupils to develop a lifelong love of learning by equipping them with the knowledge and skills that they need to be successful at school and as citizens in the wider community.
We are looking for a deputy head teacher who:
- is passionate and dedicated in providing all children with an ambitious knowledge-rich curriculum that inspires learning inside and outside the classroom and provides pupils with the opportunities to succeed later in life
- shares our commitment to develop the whole child by promoting personal development and explicitly teaching our pupils strategies to stay physically and mentally healthy
- is motivated to research and trial new ideas, and has high expectations of themselves, their colleagues and pupils
- is an outstanding teacher who will provide a model of excellence and coach and mentor staff to foster excellent classroom practice across the school
- is a pro-active team member committed to whole school development
- is an effective organiser with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- takes an active role in building culture and reviewing and formulating the school’s strategic direction
- is able to take a lead role, alongside the Headteacher, in the evaluation and monitoring of standards across the school
