Volunteer Academy Councillors
St Peter’s CofE Academy based in Fenton, Stoke on Trent is looking to appoint additional volunteer Academy Councillors (Governors) from September 2020.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Be willing to give your time and share your knowledge in your area of expertise.
This is an exciting opportunity to help drive forward school improvement by making a significant contribution to an Academy.
You will be part of an Academy Council, working effectively with the Chair of the Council, the Principal, Senior Leadership Team and our Trust.
Regarding the commitment required, The Academy Council meet for three full meetings a year that take place out of school hours. There would also be an expectation that you would join a minimum of one working group, who meet between three and five times a year, depending on which one it is. You may also wish to sit on committees (student exclusions, staff disciplinary, staff pay committee) that may be called during an academic year. Visits to the Academy to meet with students and staff would also be encouraged.
St Peter’s CofE Academy is a mixed 11-16 popular Church of England Academy which puts Christian values, faiths and high standards at the centre of all we do. We serve the whole community of Stoke-on-Trent and welcome students of all faiths and none.
