Salary: Main Scale/UPS + SEN Allowance
Start Date: 1st September 2024
Hours: Full-time non-class based (although possibility of part-time for the right candidate)
Contract: Permanent
Manorcroft Primary School is a friendly, inclusive two-form entry school for children aged 4-11, which offers a caring, safe and exciting learning environment. Our aim is for each and every child to develop a love of learning and to fulfil their potential, whatever their starting point or individual need. We believe in the development of the whole child, ensuring that their social and emotional needs, as well as their academic needs are met.
We are incredibly lucky to have a large, well-resourced school site with fantastic outdoor learning opportunities, including a woodland teaching area, allotment and outdoor classrooms. Inside the building, we have recently refurbished the majority of teaching spaces and significantly upgraded our IT provision.
We have an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable and passionate leader to join our team. You must have exemplary communication and inter-personal skills and a desire for all children to succeed. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic and self- motivated, ideally with experience of leading SEND across the primary phase. Other important aspects of the role include leading the Inclusion Team of support staff (HSLW and ELSA), managing LSAs and being a DSL as part of our safeguarding team.
This is a non-class based role, full-time (5 days a week), although there is a teaching element required through the leading of interventions and supporting class teachers. The possibility of part-time working may be available for the right candidate. The SENCo would be a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), working alongside the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher to provide strategic leadership and direction across the school.
Please see below for further information - job descriptions and person specifications.
All potential candidates are very welcome to tour the school - please contact Mel Harbor, School Business Manager.
