FTE £21,474 (This will increase in line with Surrey’s pay award, once agreed)
Actual Annual Pay £10,775
Contract: Permanent
Term time & 3 additional days
Hours: 21.25 hours per week
Monday- Friday 09:30- 13:45 (4.25 hours per day)
Start date: As soon as possible - subject to safer recruitment and training requirements.
Location: 1 position available - Hurst Park Primary School

LEO Academy Trust is looking to appoint a general Catering Assistant to work within our kitchen at Hurst Park Primary School.
The successful candidate will be willing and capable of working flexibly and adjusting to a variety of duties. You will provide general catering support in one of our thriving and friendly schools. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a new team and to bring high standards of catering to our Trust.

You will:
- Have experience of working and dealing with people.
- Be able to follow both verbal and written instructions e.g. menus, guidelines.
- Hold a Food Hygiene qualification or be willing to train.
- Be willing and capable of working flexibly and adjusting to a variety of workplace duties and hours.
- Be capable of moderate physical activity e.g. lifting saucepans and boxes of produce, standing for long periods, putting up and taking down dining tables
- Be able to use catering equipment safely and correctly.
- Be able to adhere to the Trust’s policies and procedures including health & safety and hygiene procedures.
- Be polite, courteous and friendly towards colleagues and pupils.
- Be able to work as part of a team and maintain good relationships with colleagues.
- Be able to work under pressure and respond to changing needs.
- Be willing to undertake further training if required.
- Be capable and willing to work using your own initiative.
