Full time class teacher (maternity cover)
We are seeking to appoint an experienced teacher as maternity cover from 1st September 2024. There is flexibility over the year group to be taught so we can match that to your strengths as a teacher.
You will need to provide excellent teaching and enjoyable learning for the children and manage or assist in the development of a curriculum area throughout the school.
Responsibilities
• To adhere to our safeguarding policies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
• To meet, share ideas and plan collaboratively with members of the team and ensure enjoyment, continuity and progression for all.
• To effectively deploy support staff.
• To implement and maintain the school’s pastoral care and behaviour policy, considering the mental health and emotional wellbeing needs of each child.
• To meet the academic needs of all children.
• To be a reflective practitioner and proactive in seeking CPD opportunities.
Teaching and Learning
• To demonstrate excellent practice in terms of classroom teaching, learning and organisation.
• To assess pupils in line with the school policy.
• To ensure the best possible outcomes for all learners across the curriculum including vulnerable groups.
