St Nicholas Church of England Primary School is an inclusive and nurturing Christian school, in the heart of a close, village community. Families of all faiths and none are warmly welcomed, valued and respected. We are a large school with 18 classes, yet have a warm and welcoming ethos. Just a short walk away from the River Thames and with a direct train line into London Waterloo, we are easily accessible for those members of staff living further away.

We strive for our children to have a love of learning and achieve their true potential. By being respectful, responsible and resilient they can be courageous advocates of change and make a real difference in the world.

If you care deeply about supporting children to grow into unique, confident and compassionate individuals, then come and meet us so we can tell you more about our school.

We are looking for an individual who: -

•    is a strong, resilient and passionate teacher
•    committed to making learning fun, memorable and well matched to each learner’s needs
•    has excellent subject knowledge and a range of interests and skills to complement our extensive and creative curriculum
•    is a reflective learner willing to work collaboratively with others to enhance their own and other’s professional development.

Judged as ‘Good’ again by Ofsted in February 2022, we continually seek further opportunities for school improvement. We are dedicated to ensuring that each individual meets their full potential, be that children or staff. We support career progression and believe in developing staff and ‘growing our own’ talent where possible. We prioritise investment in our staff and premises to expand and enhance our provision, and are fortunate in our excellent facilities and large school site.

We also offer: -
•    a friendly, welcoming and hugely supportive staff team, PTA and Governor Board
•    opportunities to lead and contribute to school improvement and sustaining the highest standards
•    an Inclusion Team to support Teaching and Learning, which includes Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy Champions, and Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSA)
•    tailored professional development and training, with access to London Diocese and Surrey support networks
•    a staff ‘Well-Being Team’ to support you in your role, with organised staff social events
•    additional benefits such as a great Staff Room and Garden, complimentary refreshments, a dedicated PPA room for whole Year Group planning time, free morning and after school wrap around childcare for the children of Staff in the school, release time to enable leaders in their roles, dedicated time for Year Group meetings with Support Staff and a well-resourced learning environment to work in, to name but a few.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.

Please contact Mrs Begley in the school office for available dates and times.
