If so, Holy Trinity CofE Primary School has a wonderful opportunity to recruit a passionate leader with vision and energy to inspire at every level.

Start Date: 1st September 2024

Salary Range: London Fringe Leadership Points L11-L15 Range £61,778 - £67,928

Closing date for application: Monday 22 April 2024 at 12pm

Interview Date: Week commencing 29th April

Holy Trinity is rated ‘good’ in its most recent OFSTED (2022) and ‘outstanding’ in its SIAMS (2017) inspections. We are a mixed, aged 4 – 11, Church of England Primary School that sits within The Alliance Multi-Academy Trust (TAMAT), a mixed Trust comprised of both faith and secular schools. The school’s life is shaped by our Christian values and ethos which runs through everything we do.

As a result of the school’s current Head of School moving to the role of Headteacher, and a subsequent need to re-structure the leadership team, we are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity for the right person to build on excellent foundations in a highly successful school. The Headteacher role from September is for four days a week so the Deputy would be expected to deputise one day a week.

This position would suit an existing Deputy Headteacher looking to develop their expertise, or an experienced and aspiring Senior Leader who is looking to progress to the next stage of their career.

Our children benefit from some amazing spaces within school, from the Well-Being Hub and IT Suite inside, to the multiple playgrounds, sensory garden, pond, Story Chair and impressive school grounds which is home to our outdoors ‘Woodland Classroom’.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a strategic thinker and a positive and motivated leader;
  • Be able to build strong relationships with staff, parents, partners and the wider community;
  • Uphold and develop the school’s vision, values and Christian ethos;
  • Continue to raise aspirations, standards, achievements, and outcomes for all our children across the whole curriculum, inspiring each child to be the best they can be;
  • Be a natural, charismatic leader, who communicates well and demands excellence from yourself and others;
  • Be passionate about teaching and learning and have a successful record of exceptional teaching;
  • Be able to operate strategically and evidence impact of CPD on staff;
  • Have the courage to deliver change and be able to demonstrate significant past successes; and
  • Have the credibility to inspire and motivate a highly effective team.

We can offer:

  • A friendly, high-performing, supportive and experienced staff team;
  • Well behaved, engaged and enthusiastic children who all see themselves as leaders;
  • An exciting opportunity to join a network of leaders within a local MAT of like-minded schools;
  • A culture of high ambition throughout the school;
  • A creative and inspiring ethos and school values that our children and team live and breathe;
  • Fantastic facilities;
  • Excellent support from the Governing Body and TAMAT executives;
  • Central TAMAT support in finance, HR, safeguarding, inclusion and school improvement; and
  • Supportive parents and a strong PTA.

We welcome applications from individuals with integrity, emotional intelligence and a passion for teaching.

To apply, please complete the Deputy Headteacher Application Form included as part of the advert.

Ensure that in your application form (in the section entitled “Statement of Application”), you consider the job description and personal specifications when responding. Please provide a Personal Statement (no longer than one A4 page using standard font size) summarising the reasons why you would like to be our next Deputy Headteacher, with reference to the specific skills and attributes that you would bring to the role.

References will only be sought for shortlisted candidates. It is our policy to obtain references prior to interview. If you have concerns regarding this, please contact us before submitting your application form.

We would strongly encourage candidates to arrange an informal meeting and/or have a tour of the school with the Executive Head teacher or Head of School.

We know our school is very special and the Deputy Headteacher would be an integral part of the leadership team, providing outstanding leadership to ensure a nurturing, safe, supportive and inspiring school experience for our children. We look forward to meeting you.
