Burstow Primary School is joining the Everychild Partnership Trust in May and this is an exciting opportunity, open to experienced teaching staff.

The key features of the role will be:

  • To secure outstanding outcomes for all learners, through effective partnership with the Headteacher and other leaders.
  • To actively promote and support the vision and direction of the Academy Trust.
  • To be an outstanding classroom practitioner.
  • To be an excellent staff coach/mentor.
  • To effectively lead a designated subject area (Maths or Reading/Writing) or key stage
  •  To effectively lead assessment and moderation across the school and related school improvement plan spotlight (as required).
  • To contribute positively and pro-actively to the Senior Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A very positive and professional attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and evidence of having used them effectively even in challenging circumstances.
  • Boundless enthusiasm, energy and ideas for learning, alongside a good sense of humour.
  • The ability to lead and foster positive professional relationships and work effectively with staff of varying experience.
  • Proven ability to raise standards in classrooms beyond their own.

And will be:

  • Efficient and well organised.
  • Committed to undertake professional duties which make a wider contribution to the life of their school and are regular active participants in community/enrichment events (as required).
  • Committed to realising the schools vision and aims, including the inclusion and safeguarding of all pupils.

The post will have 2 days per week leadership time plus PPA.
