Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Place: Auriol Junior School, Vale Road, Stoneleigh KT19 0PJ

Responsible to: Headteacher

Line Manager: SENCO

Purpose of Job: To support children's learning. 

Terms of Contract: Permanent Contract 

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.15am to 3.15pm, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break

             Term time only - 37 weeks per year

Annual Salary: PS3.2 £15,801 

Start Date: As soon as possible, subject to Safeguarding and Pre-employment checks.

We are looking for:

A Learning Support Assistant to work with all pupils, including those with special educational needs. The successful candidate will be required to deliver small group sessions across the curriculum to support the children's learning. This will include outside play supervision. Maybe teaching is your long-term goal? Or maybe you are just committed to developing and supporting young people? An ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, creative and pro-active. Relevant previous experience is a bonus, but not essential.

You will need to be patient, caring and have a determination to bring out the very best in children, as well as have good written and verbal communication skills. They must have a high level of personal and emotional resilience, a capacity to be flexible and try new things and the ability and confidence to use initiative whilst respecting advice from professionals.
