Thorpe Lea Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic PPA Teacher for 2 days per week.

Thorpe Lea Primary School and Nursery is a single form entry, primary school located in Egham, Surrey, providing education for 3 to 11 year olds. Our school mission is to give every child the opportunity to enjoy and achieve fully in all areas, whilst developing a set of core life values, an awareness of their responsibilities as citizens and an appreciation of the wonders of the wider world.

Ofsted in October 2021 rated our school as good in all areas, stating “Thorpe Lea is a vibrant, nurturing and happy school where everyone is valued and supported”.

 

Days of work - 2 full days  - across all key stages.

Main Accountabilities

• To plan and deliver a motivating curriculum, which helps pupils to embed effective personal, social and communication skills as well as develop strong English and mathematics through rich learning experiences;

• To target and track children’s progress through assessment for learning and continuous assessment of the development of individual children in line with school expectations; • To create and develop an enriching, interactive and stimulating learning environment;

• To develop strong working partnerships with parents, other school staff, governors and external specialists;

• To take full responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the children, ensuring that all procedures for Child Protection, Health, Safety and Security, Confidentiality and Data Protection are adhered to at all times, and close attention is paid to the physical, emotional, social and welfare needs of all the children.
