Office Assistant
To commence September 2024
Up to 34 hours per week, term time plus one week

Do you have excellent communication and administration skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude? We are looking for an additional colleague to play an effective and professional role within the Reception and Office team at Thames Ditton Junior School.

As well as providing efficient and accurate general administrative support, the ability to work flexibly within a small team in a busy school is essential. A working knowledge of Microsoft office software is essential, as is general office, clerical and telecommunication skills. As first point of contact with our parent/carers, pupils and colleagues, friendliness, discretion and adaptability are key.

The focus of this role will be finalised with the successful candidate but will include general office, administration and reception duties and supporting the existing office team as well as responsibility for specific areas. Previous experience working in a school or a busy office would be advantageous.

The working pattern and number of hours will be agreed with the successful candidate, Ideally this would be over 5 days during term time – Ideally this would be over 5 days during term time – 8.30 am – 4.30 pm with one half day - either Monday or Tuesday from 8.30 am – 12.30 pm, plus additional hours during the summer holidays, timing of which can be discussed. Alternative working patterns may be considered. For reference, the actual commencing salary for 34 hours per week, 39 weeks per year is currently £18,920 per annum.
