Reigate Priory is looking to appoint a committed and innovative professional in the role of Special Education Needs and Disability Co-ordinator (SENDCo).

This position provides the perfect opportunity for an aspiring professional to grow and continue their professional development, surrounded by a high quality and friendly staff. 

We are looking for a SENDCo who:

- As part of the Senior Leadership Team, strategically plans for the development of SEND provision across the school

- Ensures the SEND policy is implemented monitored and reviewed regularly and objectives of the policy are reflected in the school improvement plans where appropriate

- Lead the provision for pupils with special educational needs, disabilities or medical conditions across the school through overseeing and managing the day-to-day operation 

- Works collaboratively with other schools, educational psychologists, health and social care professionals and other external agencies

- Ensures funding is used effectively to remove and reduce barriers and to accelerate progress

- Analyses and reports assessment data for pupils with SEND to key stakeholders

- Manages and develops the SEND team ensuring effective allocation of resource, training and support

- Creates and maintains an accurate SEND register and provision map

- Has excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
