Teaching Assistant
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated teaching assistant. The successful candidate will have experience supporting children within the classroom.
Vacancy hours - We are ideally looking for Monday-Friday 8.45am 2.45pm. However would consider part-time for the right candidate. Playground supervision is required. Term-time only 39 weeks per year, including inset days.
Salary - £23,083 FTE actual £15,169
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Following the direction of the class teacher and SENCO delivering learning support either one to one, small group or in the wider classroom setting.
- Support children to access the curriculum so they make progress with their learning.
- The successful candidate will be confident in understanding the different challenges children with additional needs face and have an understanding of strategies which will help them to thrive.
- They will be empathetic and nurturing.
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
- An excellent level of written and spoken English and Maths is required for this role.
- Knowledge of Read, Write Inc phonics scheme is desirable but not essential.
