Teaching Assistant

Full time/Part- time Teaching Assistant & Midday Supervisor

We are looking for reliable, motivated, and enthusiastic teaching assistant & midday supervisors to join our school in September. There will be full and part time roles available. They will be fixed term contracts at first, but could lead to a permanent post.

Salary: Pay: Surrey Pay Grade S3 (FTE £21,475-£21,776), depending on experience. This is a pro-rated position.

Your duties, under the direction and supervision of a teacher, will include:-

 Assist in the delivery of educational work programmes by participating in day-to-day learning activities.

 Discuss with, and report back to the teacher on the planning and assessment of pupil work.

 Organise and maintain the learning environment.

 Work as part of a team to ensure that the well-being, behaviour and personal development of pupils enhances their learning opportunities and life skills.

 Work as part of a team to ensure the safety of the children in the school.

 Supervise children on the playground and in the hall at lunchtimes; engaging the children in play, administering first aid and helping them to resolve disputes.

 Support children with additional needs

 Attend school trips with the class.

 Maintain confidentiality inside and outside the workplace

 Understand and apply school policies

Previous experience would be an advantage, but training will be given. You will be expected to complete training in safeguarding, first aid and any other qualifications relevant to the role.
