Do you have a passion for working with and supporting young people with their development?

Can you give effective coaching and support to our leaners? If so, then this is the opportunity for you!

Progress Coach – Fixed term until 1st July 2022

At the Windsor Forest Colleges Group our mission is to inspire ambition and make a positive difference to lives through learning.

The 16-19 Tuition Fund is a one off allocation of support funding to provide disadvantaged students with additional support to get them back on track after disrupted learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of our re-imagined support, we have created the role of Progress Coach to supplement the support we already offer our students and for those learners who need additional help over the forthcoming academic year.

As a Progress Coach, you will work with small groups of students who require support to engage successfully with their programme. These students will be given an initial assessment to enable the progress coach to restore effective learning habits and routines through targeted input. Small group tuition will be used to support the development of these educational attributes and to improve the students’ ability to learn and reach their potential.

About you and what you need to be successful?

We are looking for highly motivated and resilient individuals with experience of working with young people aged 16-19 to facilitate focused personal development sessions. Core to this role will be the provision of 1-1 and group coaching to provide individualised positive learning habits and attitudes and targeted interventions to a caseload of students.

This is a very responsive role, which requires individuals to demonstrate resilience, determination and an ability to support students with their personal development, learning and careers whilst keeping them engaged to achieve.

Ideally you will have some experience of working with teenagers or young adults and be confident dealing with students who need support managing their behaviour. A background in youth work would be beneficial but certainly not essential. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver coaching sessions.

Note

Please note 2 posts will be based at Strode’s and 1 post at Windsor campuses as agreed.
