Help us to grow our school!
Surrey Maths School (SuMS) is a specialist 16-19 Maths School which opened in Guildford in September 2024 to serve students across the South East, aiming to become a hub of excellence for the teaching of the mathematical sciences. We have 85 students in Year 12 from 65 schools across the South East and beyond.
We are looking to appoint to a range of exciting roles for September 2025 as we expand to include our second year group. We are a collaborative school and committed to team planning meetings in which we can discuss the approaches, concepts and resources to be used. Everyone has a voice and a chance to contribute to the development of the curriculum. We are looking for inspirational teachers and leaders whose values align with our school and who will work with us to actively promote equity and diversity through the planning and delivery of inclusive lessons.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher of mathematics to work in a unique environment – a new specialist Maths School for 16-19 year olds. This teacher will generate enthusiasm for the subject and inspire all students to work to their potential. We are also keen to hear from candidates who would like to teach physics or computer science alongside mathematics. The post is available part-time or full-time in combination with other subjects.
At Surrey Maths School you will be part of a small, enthusiastic and supportive team working with colleagues who are innovative and driven by our school mission and vision. Take a look at our SuMS information pack for prospective staff for more information about the broader school and what you can expect from working with us.
