Learning Support Assistant

TTO Fixed Part Time (15 hours per week 1:1 and 11 hours LSA)

Required September 2024

Salary Grade 3 from £26,320 pro rata £15,070

The Role

Sutton High School are currently seeking an experienced Learning Assistant (with Level 4 training or above) to work on a 1:1 basis, supporting a named senior school pupil in receipt of an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) for communication needs and also to provide support to students working in our Neurodiversity Hub.

Providing individual attention, reassurance and help, you will encourage the pupil to achieve their full potential, ensuring they are appropriately supported in their social interactions, learning and readiness for school.In the Neurodiversity hub you will provide support for individuals and small groups, facilitating their independent work and helping them develop effective study skills.

With a recognised TA qualification i.e. NVQ, NNEB, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent relevant experience in an educational setting, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to listen, empathise and build strong, positive relationships with children and staff alike.

You will be joining a team of 4 Learning Assistants in our Senior School Neurodiversity Team, based in our Neurodiversity Hub.
