Working Hours: 25 hours per week. Term time plus 5 additional weeks (42 weeks, 210 days). Permanent contract.

Actual Annual Salary: £19,713.68 (SWAN Grade 6.2, FTE £30,647)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join The SWAN Trust’s Central HR Team as an HR Advisor, supporting 10 schools across the Woking area. The role will be based in The Central Team Offices at Beaufort Primary School, but you will need to be able to travel between the local schools.

We are seeking a motivated and highly organised individual who enjoys working in a busy environment and is focused on delivering a high-quality HR Service.

About the Role

As our HR advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day HR operations across the Trust including:

  • Co-ordinating and supporting recruitment processes
  • Processing monthly payroll and pension returns
  • Collating and processing monthly, quarterly and annual government returns
  • Ensuring employee records are accurately maintained
  • Assisting with employee relations cases
  • Responding to daily HR queries from staff and leaders
  • Contributing to the development of systems, processes and best practice

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous HR and / or Payroll Experience (school sector experience beneficial but not essential
  • Thrives in a busy office environment and can manage a varied workload.
  • Has excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Is self-motivated, flexible and calm under pressure
  • Communicates clearly and confidently, with strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Is confident using computer systems, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, and can quickly learn new systems
