ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estates Project Manager to join our team and support the successful planning, execution, and completion of diverse and intricate projects within the College estate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to devise project plans, timelines, and budgets for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Provide efficient project management support by coordinating and facilitating large-scale complex projects, with a focus on engaging key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project activities, resources, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives and deadlines.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and proactively address them to keep project momentum and achieve success.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project reports, tracking progress, milestones, and budget allocation.
  • Confident use of project management software for example Microsoft Projects to ensure successful project planning and execution.
  • Support in monitoring and summarising the progress of the project, ensuring resource availability and allocation throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain comprehensive and auditable project documentation in compliance with funder and partner requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to gather requirements, define project scope, and deliver project deliverables.
  • Align with the expected behaviours outlined in the College’s framework and support a culture of equality, shared values, innovation, and effective teamwork across projects, considering the diverse needs of partners.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

Qualifications and training

  • Experience in the development and application of project processes/controls including programmes, reporting, risk and issues management
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Experience of working across multiple complex projects of varying size and complexity
  • Knowledge and experience of effective partnership working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Independently mobile with access to transport

Skills and expertise

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • An understanding of and commitment to diversity and equality of opportunity
  • Knowledge and/or competencies of health and safety as relevant to the post and a commitment to safeguarding the health and safety of learners and others
