Deaf Inclusion Worker

We are seeking to recruit a British Sign Language (BSL) qualified Deaf Inclusion Worker to be part of our SEND Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of highly regarded staff and to support our deaf children to acquire language, achieve independence, develop socially and emotionally and excel educationally.

Your Role

• Work alongside our Teacher of the Deaf and Class Teachers to provide a bespoke Language First Curriculum.

• Plan and provide support on a 1:1 or small group basis within a mainstream school environment and our Deaf Support Centre.

• Help children develop their language and literacy skills, including English and BSL.

• Support children in managing their audiological equipment and developing their social skills.
