About TDET
Thomas Deacon Education Trust (TDET) is a charitable organisation dedicated to raising educational outcomes across a range of primary and secondary phase schools and academies in the East Midlands. As a newly formed multi-academy trust we strive to provide outstanding teaching and learning for all and an ethos and culture that encourages everyone to be the very best that they can be.
Our moral purpose is defined through our commitment to see every member of the learning community achieve their full potential. As a Trust, however, we recognise the importance and individuality of the local context of each of our schools and encourage diversity of practice whilst retaining a collective sense of unity in our purpose.
Our core values of Trust; Diversity; Excellence and Transformation underpin all aspects of student and staff life in our academies and gives us a platform to offer innovative and efficient business services.
We put learners, and their learning, at the heart of everything we do.
About Richard Barnes Academy
The Richard Barnes Academy is a new school that became part of the TDET Trust on 1 May 2020, replacing the Peterborough Pupil Referral Service. The Academy is situated across two campuses, the Fitzwilliam Campus based on Williamson Avenue and the Trinity Campus based in Paston.
The Academy provides specialist primary and secondary education for learners in the city of Peterborough, aged between 4-16, who have been permanently excluded from school, or who are at risk of permanent exclusion. The aim of the provision is to successfully reintegrate as many of these learners as possible back into mainstream education. Most learners who access the school have either behavioural, social or emotional difficulties.

There will also be a requirement to be able to use a range of maintenance and DIY tools. Due to the responsibility of this role, knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH is essential.
