We are looking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work in our newly established Internal Alternative Provision - The PACE Hub (Personalised Academic and Character Education Hub) - at The Dean Academy. The successful candidate for this exciting new role must have a passion for working with young people to support them to embody our core values of “We are Respectful, We are Responsible, We are Ready”. You will be working alongside the PACE hub manager in order to establish, supervise and implement the school’s internal alternative provision curriculum designed to support children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The role will focus upon fostering positive relationships, enabling students to achieve their full potential, and preparing them to successfully access mainstream lessons.
You will have the presence, experience and personality to manage, supervise, challenge and motivate students. This role forms a core part of the school’s pastoral team and you will need to work closely with students, other school colleagues and parents/carers. As an individual, you will be motivated, positive, have a flexible and calm approach and be able to respond to the needs of the individuals you are working with.
If you are interested in applying, please speak to Hannah Rowlands for further details, including the possibility of flexible working and adjusting working hours to encompass this new role.
