Salary: Actual Annual Salary: £25,497 to £26,909 dependant on qualifications and experience, £14.27 to £15.06 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time only – 8am - 4:30pm Mon-Wed, 8am – 5pm Thurs and 8am - 4pm Fri
We are looking for a Lifeguard to support swimming lessons and free-swim sessions. You will support the swimming teacher with all elements of the day to day running of the swimming classes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with communication and interaction difficulties, specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, and those on the autistic spectrum
Key Duties
- Monitor pupils' behaviour in the pool, intervene where needed, and maintain records of incidents, health, and behaviour.
- Ensure the safety of pool users, taking the lead in rescues and first aid when required.
- Maintain safe use of equipment in line with health and safety procedures and risk assessments.
- Uphold a clean, safe pool environment, including necessary testing and maintenance.
- Support the swimming teacher and assist with delivering lessons.
- Work with support staff to maintain safety and assist students in the water.
- Plan and deliver adapted learning activities under supervision, based on the teacher's curriculum.
- Help run swimming sessions and lead in the teacher's absence.
- Contribute to assessing and recording students' progress and development.
- Accurately complete all required documentation and reports.

Essential Qualifications:
- GCSE Maths and English qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent
- RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
- Due to the rural location of the school, candidates are strongly advised to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
