The Role
As a General Hotel Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day operation of Foxes Hotel, working across a variety of areas including reception, front of house and housekeeping.
This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll help ensure our hotel operates smoothly while supporting a positive learning environment for our students as they develop their hospitality skills.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel across reception, housekeeping and front of house functions
Delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming experience for guests and visitors
Completing cleaning and preparation tasks to maintain high standards across hotel bedrooms and public areas
Assisting with laundry, housekeeping duties and regular facility checks throughout the hotel
Providing reception cover, including answering phones, taking bookings, checking guests in and processing payments
Supporting compliance with health and safety, food hygiene, COSHH and company procedures
Working flexibly across departments and supporting colleagues wherever needed to meet the needs of the business
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in delivering great customer service and is happy working in a busy and varied environment.
You will have:
Experience working within a hotel, hospitality or customer-facing environment
Previous experience in reception, housekeeping or front of house duties
A positive and flexible approach to work
Strong communication and customer service skills
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
A reliable and professional approach
A Food Hygiene Certificate, allergen training or experience supporting vulnerable young adults (desirable)
