At Aurora Cedars School, we're looking for a reliable and proactive Kitchen Assistant to support the preparation and delivery of nutritious meals for our students.

A healthy, enjoyable meal is a big part of a student's day. In this role, you'll help ensure that every meal is prepared safely, served efficiently, and enjoyed in a clean and welcoming environment - supporting the wellbeing of our students.
What you'll be doing
As part of our kitchen team, you will:
π½οΈ Assist with preparing and serving meals to the required standards
π₯ Support food preparation and cooking for daily lunch service
π§Ό Maintain excellent hygiene and cleanliness across the kitchen and work areas
π¦ Help with ordering, deliveries, and stock management when needed
β οΈ Follow all food safety, allergen, and health & safety regulations
π§ Carry out routine checks and report any issues or concerns
π Support occasional school events or special functions
You'll play a key role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

What you'll need
- Experience working in a catering or kitchen environment (school or similar preferred)
- Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations
- Good communication skills and ability to work with colleagues
- Level 2 Food Hygiene (or willingness to complete training)
