The Role

We are looking for an accomplished Communications Specialist to become the editorial voice of The British School of Brussels (BSB). This is a hands-on role for an experienced communications professional who combines exceptional writing skills with strong marketing instincts, project management capabilities and a keen visual eye. 

This central role is a major contributor to strengthening BSB's reputation and supporting student recruitment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Editorial leadership and content creation.
  • Parent and community communications.
  • Executive and internal communications.
  • Brand, marketing and visual communications.
  • Development of communication standards and best practice.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Significant relevant professional experience in communications, marketing or content management.
  • Native English speaker with exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience managing websites (experience with WordPress or equivalent) and digital content management systems.
  • Experience delivering integrated communication and marketing projects from concept through to completion.
  • Strong experience producing high-quality presentations and visual communication materials 
  • Experience within the education sector or an industry with complex communications environments would be an advantage.
