Rise Academy is keen to employ an Additional Needs Practitioner who will need to be an enthusiastic, empathic individual to support the social, emotional, and mental health needs of children as well as their wider special educational needs.
Salary: Grade 6, Point 14 £28,264 - Point 19 £31,067 pro rata for 37 hours per week, term time plus five additional training days (39 weeks per year).
Rise Academy is a Special/Alternative Provision Academy and is firmly committed to delivering high quality staff training to ensure that students who access our support can make both academic progress and developmental improvements. We are expert professionals in SEMH.
Our Additional Needs Practitioners work closely alongside our SENDCo's, Assistant SENCo and SEMH outreach manager, to plan creative and targeted sessions to support the emotional wellbeing needs of our students. This role may also include delivering evidence based, targeted intervention programmes in literacy, numeracy, sensory and speech and language where necessary and appropriate.
