Rise Academy

Deputy Head of School – Quality of Education

L10 - L14 (dependent on experience)

Rise Academy is a specialist Pupil Referral/Alternative Provision which supports young people referred from mainstream provision to re-engage with learning and rediscover their direction. Our years of success is testament to our profound belief in the positive potential of all young people. The ethos of Rise Academy is one of high aspiration, support and encouragement for young people to achieve their potential. Our visions is ‘Rediscovering Potential, Rebuilding Futures’.

By approaching students as individuals and understanding their perspectives, we find new and exciting ways to reactivate their engagement with learning. Bringing passion, empathy and care to their unique cases, we enable our students to grow, move past their history and find their ambition.

Rise Academy is an inclusive environment with tailored SEMH provision spanning both key stage 3 and 4. We are a multi-agency school proactive in working with families, external agencies, vocational providers and post 16 provision.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and highly skilled leader to our dynamic senior leadership team. The successful candidate will have a proven record of strategic leadership with demonstrable impact in a senior post, alongside the ability to implement and embed best practice and professional standards in all aspects of the role. Are you an outstanding practitioner who has a passion for curriculum, teaching and learning? Do you have the tenacity and integrity to lead and inspire staff to achieve the best for all our students through quality first teaching? If so, please consider applying for this rewarding position.

If successful, you will be joining a strong and dedicated senior team, working with talented teachers and support staff, who are fully committed to delivering the best outcomes for many of Hull most vulnerable children. Our vision, values and ethos are rooted in a belief that education can transform our students’ lives, by opening doors of opportunity for them. Join us in both challenging and supporting our students to push the boundaries of their achievements, help them to contribute to the wider life of the school and its community, and to become role models in all that they do.

If you share this vision and you believe you can ‘Rise’ to the challenge of leading sustained improvement and excellence in a school where support and high expectations underpin all that we do, we would be delighted to receive your application.

Please contact Philip Mountain Wade, Head of School at Rise Academy should you wish to find out any further information
