Paisley Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and nurturing school community. This role will be primarily based in our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision, but the successful candidate must be flexible and willing to work across the school to meet the needs of all pupils, including supporting in The Nest — our specialist SEN intervention provision.
Salary: Grade 4, Point 5 £24,790 - Point 7 £25,584 pro rata for 25 hours per week, term time, plus 5 training days (39 weeks per year).

The ideal candidate will have a secure understanding of early childhood development, be passionate about supporting young learners, and have experience of working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
The successful candidate will:
· Support high-quality learning and play-based experiences within our EYFS provision under the direction of class teachers and leaders;
· Be confident working with children with a wide range of needs, including those with SEN and EHCPs;
· Demonstrate flexibility to work across key stages if required and provide support in The Nest, our targeted SEN intervention provision;
· Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to implement support strategies and personalised learning plans;
· Provide emotional and physical support to pupils, promoting independence, engagement and wellbeing;
· Support the use of visual aids, communication tools and other resources to help children access the curriculum effectively;
· Support behaviour in a calm and consistent manner, using a child-centred approach aligned with school policy;
· Engage actively with children in both adult-led and child-initiated learning indoors and outdoors;
· Provide feedback on pupils’ development to teachers and contribute to assessment and review processes;
· Communicate effectively with colleagues and parents/carers and follow safeguarding policies and procedures rigorously;
· Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and be proactive in contributing to a positive team environment
